Switchback Flyball

Founded in 2023 by a passionate group of friends, Switchback was born out of a desire to do things a bit differently. Our mission is to provide a welcoming, safe, and fun environment where dog lovers of all experience levels can come together to train and compete in this dynamic and exhilarating sport. We believe in the power of good training and great people to help both dogs and handlers achieve their best. Our philosophy is built into the name:  A switchback is a winding path designed to make challenging ascents easier, safer, (and more fun)! In other words, we value taking a step-by-step approach, focusing on puzzle pieces of the big picture to make for better success later, rather than cutting corners and running into problems due to rushing… Our job as a club is to support all members at each step of this process, so we all can feel supported, confident, and have a great time knowing our dogs are safe and doing the same! While our club started out with just a handful of people and one finished racing dog, we’ve experienced some rapid growth and are proud to see our young dogs and handlers making huge strides. As of  summer ‘24, we’ve begun racing as an official club, and our practices are now open to the public. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to the sport, we welcome you and your dog of any breed, age, or size to come learn and play with us!
